CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) &  First Aid Class

Sunday, November 10th, 9am-4pm at Har Shalom

This is an all-day class, please bring a lunch.

A lot has changed in the world of CPR. If it has been a few years since you had a class, you took your certification online, or would benefit from in-depth and personal training, we strongly encourage anyone to come.

Mary Reike brings to her classes real-life CPR experience with 20 years as an EMT and creates an exceptional learning experience gained from her 30 years of teaching. Mary has also gone through extensive training in Hospice and Elder care and has several techniques to help those with arthritis and other physical ailments perform quality CPR. So even If you have physical limitations, please attend!

Mary will also go over what a Stop The Bleed kit is and why we need it during the First Aid class. No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene. So we should always be prepared to care for one another.

Mary has graciously offered to volunteer her time to teach a CPR/AED/First Aid class so we can learn as a community. This class will be open to all Har Shalom members. Because Mary is donating her time, there is only a cost for those who want a certification $20, a mask $5 (strongly encouraged), or a book ($10). Please bring cash or a check made out to “Heart Safe La Plata.”
