4:30pm Family/Children's Service at Rotary Park 

5:45pm Tashlich Service at the bridge by Rotary Park

7:00pm Kol Nidre

Thursday October 2

9:00am Mindfulness Meditation

10:00am Yom Kippur Morning Service (followed by a class on apologies led by Rachel T.)

4:00pm Healing Service Family/Children's Service  

5:00pm Yizkor Service

6:00pm Neila/Concluding Service followed by a potluck Break Fast

Any help is greatly appreciated!  Here are some of the ways you can volunteer:

  • English Readings

  • Set-up and/or Clean up for Rosh Hashanah luncheon and/or Yom Kippur Break-Fast

  • Bring potluck food items for Rosh Hashanah luncheon or Yom Kippur Break-Fast

  • Set up chairs for services​

New to Har Shalom or visiting the area during High Holy Days and want to join us?

We love having new faces join us during High Holy Days and are very welcoming to visitors. We don't have a ticket system like many larger congregations, we just ask that you notify us when you plan to attend. The easiest way is to fill out this form and feel free to contact us with any questions.

About Us

 

Har Shalom is translated as Mountain of Peace. Our synagogue is located in Durango, Colorado, the heart of the Four Corners region of the United States. 

 

Congregation Har Shalom serves as the source for Jewish community and spirituality for a 200-mile radius around the Four Corners. Congregants often travel over one hour to attend services and participate in Jewish community events at our Durango synagogue.
