Education for all ages is an important value in Judaism. Congregation Har Shalom offers Jewish learning programs for our entire congregation - toddlers through adults.

One way to keep kids connected to Judaism is to have them connected with each other! Children's Religious School is a great way to connect our families.

B’nai Mitzvah Program

Congregation Har Shalom is initiating a course for students with upcoming Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Students ages 10 and 11 are invited to join a new two-year Hebrew and religions education course to prepare for Bar and Bat Mitzvah. A new course of study will begin every two years to accommodate families with children of all ages. Classes will be held the first and third Sunday of each month from 2:00 to 4:30 PM beginning on October 21, 2018. Each class will consist of one hour of Hebrew study followed by one hour of religious study. A mandatory orientation for families will be held on October 7th at 2:00 at Har Shalom. Please email Emile Elias for more information or to join the course.

All are welcome to the orientation session, including those interested in adult B’nai Mitzvah.

Our synagogue library provides our congregation with a high quality collection of Judaic works that reflects the diversity of our membership. Our collection currently includes nearly 2000 volumes, including books and audiovisual media materials.
